About Mr. Chiet
Joshua Chiet is a leading technologist in Silicon Valley.

After receiving his BFA from the University of Central Florida, Joshua worked as a Multimedia Developer for clients including Activision, Ubisoft, and GMC. In 2006 he joined GrandCentral Communications as a Lead Developer and saw it through its launch and transformation into Google Voice after its acquisition by Google in 2007.

Joshua then went on to join YouTube as a Senior Web Developer and Technical Lead of watch page monetization, where his team pioneered many of today’s online video ad formats while developing YouTube’s revenue model.

In 2011, Joshua (along with a cadre of GrandCentral/Google Voice and YouTube alumni) left Google to start Firespotter Labs. Their WebRTC/PSTN conference software, UberConference, went on to win 1st place at the coveted TechCrunch Disrupt competition in 2012. In 2014 Firespotter Labs launched Dialpad, an industry leading cloud-based business communications solution.

In 2015, Firespotter Labs became Dialpad Communications, where Mr. Chiet is currently a Software Architect and Technical Lead. Dialpad is funded by Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, and Softbank. Their executive team is comprised of many former Google and Yahoo senior staff.
